About the forum

The Asia-Pacific Youth Environment Forum (APYEF) is the flagship regional consultation for young people in Asia and the Pacific. It provides a platform for youth to discuss pressing environmental challenges, develop collective positions, and prepare inputs for global processes including the UN Environment Assembly.

APYEF has convened multiple editions, each building on the last to strengthen youth engagement in environmental multilateralism. The forum connects grassroots youth organisations with regional policymakers, ensuring that young voices shape the environmental agenda that affects their futures.

Through thematic sessions, capacity-building workshops, and resolution consultations, APYEF participants develop joint statements and recommendations that carry the priorities of Asia-Pacific youth into global governance spaces.
