Green Economy Working Group

Welcome to the homepage of the 'Green Economy Working Group' under the Children and Youth Major Group to UNEP (CYMG).

About Us
The Ozone and Clean Air Working Group is dedicated to addressing the critical issues related to ozone depletion and air pollution, with a specific focus on safeguarding the health and well-being of children and youth around the world.

The main goals of OCA-WG are to advance legislation, advocacy, and awareness campaigns that protect the ozone layer and enhance air quality. The health of all living things is at risk due to the destruction of the ozone layer, which is mostly brought on by man-made compounds like chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs). Air pollution from many different causes, including industrial pollutants, car exhaust, and the burning of fossil fuels, continues to be a worry for people all over the world, especially for vulnerable groups like children and youth.
